About the Presenters
Michael Bridges, Vice President of Client Services
Michael Bridges, vice president of client services, has overall responsibility for the interactive marketing services provided to Covario’s Fortune 500 clients.
Most recently, Michael was director of Marketing and Business Operations at myFICO, the consumer financial services group of Fair Isaac Company, where he built and managed the myFICO marketing team consisting of search engine marketing, paid search advertising, organic search engine optimization, affiliate programming, email marketing, DRTV, and website merchandising. Prior to managing the marketing function, Michael managed the P&L and all financial aspects of myFICO.com including strategic analysis, forecasting, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Michael held several financial management and strategic planning positions within large enterprises and smaller, emerging growth firms.
Martin Laestch, Senior Director, Search Strategy
Martin Laetsch, senior director of search strategy, is a seasoned search marketing industry expert and thought leader who brings more than ten years of experience developing search programs at global enterprises. Martin is responsible for expanding Covario’s existing presence with industry organizations such as SEMPO and the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization. Additionally, Martin fervently interacts with Covario customers and prospects, and plays an integral role as a thought leader and avid speaker at industry events. Prior to Covario, Martin was manager of Worldwide Search at Intel Corporation where he built one of the most robust worldwide search marketing automation programs. Martin held a variety of positions during his ten-year tenure at Intel. These positions included a software engineering manager, software internationalization manager, and strategic communications manager. Prior to Intel, Martin spent several years as a senior support engineer at Microsoft.
Martin earned his bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University. He is also a founding member of the Google Technology Leadership Council, a group dedicated to developing best practices for technology search marketers.
Jamie Crosson, Senior Search Marketing Manager
Crosson has nearly a decade of experience in marketing, statistical analysis, and project management. Prior to joining the company, Crosson was most recently Director of Paid Search Marketing for SEO Inc., where she was responsible for the strategy and implementation of all paid search marketing initiatives for the organization. Under Jamie’s leadership, SEO Inc. Paid Search Marketing revenues increased by 500 percent.
Preceding her position as Director of Paid Search Marketing, Crosson was a marketing data analyst for a mobile data communications company where she spent time working with internal processes and external client data, advising business marketing and sales decisions based on her statistical breakdowns.
Crosson graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
Dema Zlotin, Founder & Vice President of Strategic Services
Dema Zlotin, founder and vice president of strategic services, is responsible for strategic alliances and the development of new markets. In this role, Dema works with large customers to leverage technology to improve overall ROI through the improvement of interactive marketing processes.
Previously, Dema was president and co-founder of Silicon Space, Inc., a provider of custom, web-based enterprise software solutions for commercial and federal organizations. Dema’s professional history includes positions with Anderson Consulting and Price Waterhouse. A member of the CMO Council, Dema has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and nominations including E&Y's Entrepreneur of the Year and the Starcom award, and he is a Jr. Fellow at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Dema earned his computer science degree from the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Matthias Blume, Chief Analytics Officer
Dr. Matthias Blume develops advanced analytics capabilities to help Covario’s large advertising clients better manage cross-media optimization and to drive automated decision management technologies within Covario’s technology — the Marketing Action Platform. Prior to Covario, Dr. Blume was a Principal Scientist and Director of Analytic Science at Fair Isaac Corporation, where he worked on targeted marketing, fraud detection, and government R&D projects. He also spent time at Reticular Systems, MESCO Engineering, and the Rockwell Science Center. Dr. Blume earned his Ph.D at the University of California, San Diego in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a B.S. in Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology. He has been active in neural network and statistical pattern recognition research for 20 years and has authored over 25 papers, book chapters, and patents.
