Date: 6/28/2008

New York and San Diego In conjunction with Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month, Covario Inc., the leader in interactive marketing analytics, is teaming up with The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to make sure prospective pet owners can find the ASPCA’s Web site and search for adoptable cats and dogs all year round. As part of its program to help with “the most important searches,” Covario announced today its donation of Covario™ Organic Search Insight software and services to ASPCA in an effort to help the organization extend its presence on the Web to support fundraising efforts, increase awareness about preventing animal cruelty and help pet owners find lost pets or connect prospective pet adopters with new companion animals. Last month, Covario was involved in a similar initiative with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to assist the organization in their ongoing efforts to find missing children and prevent child abduction and exploitation.

“Search engines play a critical role in the extension of any organization’s Web presence, and non-profit organizations, such as the ASPCA, are increasingly using the Web to build awareness, raise funds and increase volunteerism,” said Russ Mann, CEO of Covario. “We are working with the ASPCA to ensure their efforts are effectively presented on the major search engines in order to make it easier for concerned parties to get the best possible information on key issues like pet adoption and the prevention of cruelty to animals.”

“We are looking forward to working with the Covario team to present ASPCA digitally to our key stakeholders,” said Ed Sayres, president and CEO of ASPCA. “With Covario’s automated solutions, we will be able to identify which areas of our Web site need improvement in order to present our organization and goals most effectively online. This will help us gain more recognition in the public and accomplish our goal of protecting animals nationwide.”

Covario’s Organic Search Insight solution enables organizations to automate compliance with SEO best practices to increase visibility on search engines for targeted search terms. It is used by more than 40 global enterprises and over 300 brands globally to help maximize their digital presence through organic search.
