Product Marks First Solution to Provide Side-by-side View of Organic and Paid Search and Features Next Installment of SEMDirector: Audit Score

SES (San Jose, CA) and San Diego, CA — SEMDirector, Inc., the leader in search marketing automation, announced today at Search Engine Strategies San Jose immediate availability of the latest release of SEMDirector™: Organic Insight, a software solution that enables large enterprises to automate Web site auditing for effective compliance with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices. This latest version includes major product enhancements, such as a new capability to view a comparison of organic and paid search activities in one interface, as well as an enhanced version of SEMDirector™: Audit Score, a single metric for measuring effectiveness of SEO efforts for large enterprises, driven by best practices in technical configuration, content and link analysis.

One of the main product enhancements is the Organic Summary Portlets, a new feature that allows users to track paid and organic search, providing visibility under one holistic view. This new viewing capability, which appears in the SEMDirector™: My Insight dashboard, leverages the SEMDirector™: Paid Insight (SEMDirector’s counterpart paid search solution) to give users at-a-glance summary information of organic audit scores and traffic side-by-side with cost and results from paid search activities. Having this information within the same view allows executives to make effective trade-off decisions on investment in paid or organic traffic. This is the first solution to enable this type of comparative analysis.

Another upgrade is a new version of the SEMDirector™: Audit Score, the key metric evaluating the status of the Web site with respect to SEO best practices. Internal research shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between the SEMDirector: Audit Score, rank and traffic. Based on the 125 major brand Web sites using this system, SEMDirector has found that on average, a 10 point improvement in the audit score leads to an improvement in the average rank for the keywords being optimized by four positions.

  • International audit support including search engines in Europe, Asia and Latin America that provide global organizations with visibility into Web properties.
  • Page audit comparisons for different time periods, allowing managers to easily identify changes in audit scores over time. This capability also provides additional actionable information to search optimization managers by enabling them to pinpoint changes in sites that impact, positively or negatively, their Audit Score and associated page rank
