SEMDirector Organic Insight Selected as American Business Awards "The Stevies" Finalist in Best New Product Category

SEMDirector, Inc., the leader in search marketing automation software and services, today announced that SEMDirector™: Organic Insight has been selected as a finalist by The American Business AwardsSM, also known as The Stevie® Awards or The Stevies, in the Best New Product or Service category. More than 2,000 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. The Best New Product or Service category yielded 25 finalists nationwide, with SEMDirector being the only San Diego-based company to be recognized. Finalists will be judged by the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors, which includes some of the world’s most successful businesspeople, such as Donald Trump.

Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” (New York Post , April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business. Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 700 executives from across the U.S. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio, and hosted by Larry Wilmore of TV’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

The automated software individually audits Web pages in a complex Web site, sometimes spanning more than one million Web pages at a time. The audit covers the Web site’s technical construction, use of search terms in the language and effectiveness of the link strategy. Ultimately, the audit produces a single proprietary SEMDirector™: Audit Score, a 0 to 100 representation of the level of optimization on each page and the Web site overall, which marketers use to measure the effectiveness of the SEO process.
