SAN DIEGO — SEMDirector, the leader in search marketing automation software and services, today announced that Craig Macdonald, vice president of marketing, alliances and product management, will be presenting on expert panels at Red Herring Spring 2007 in Monterey, Calif. and MediaPost‘s Search Insider Summit in Bonita Springs, Fla., both held early this May.

At Red Herring Spring 2007: 10 Years of Innovation and Disruption, Macdonald will be speaking on the “Search Marketing 2.0” panel, which will address hot topics in search engine marketing and the current transformation of communication strategy. Topics will include: search technologies, biggest search-related mistakes in advertising, local search and “pay-per-call.” The panel consists of five speakers from various aspects of the search marketing industry and will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Monterey, Calif., on Thursday, May 3, 4:30-5:15pm at RT11, Room A.
Macdonald will also be presenting at MediaPost’s Search Insider Summit in the “Mobile Search: Advertisers on the Go” breakout session. The session will cover mobile search opportunities for advertisers, adapting SEM strategy for the small screen, tactical steps involved in planning mobile search campaigns and differences between traditional and mobile search technologies. The session will feature three industry experts and will take place at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa on Tuesday, May 8 at 11:15am in Bonita Springs, Fla.
A seasoned industry veteran, Macdonald has an impressive track record of leading, innovating and managing strategic business initiatives in the technology industry. Prior to SEMDirector, he served as director of product management with Hewlett Packard’s OpenView division as well as vice president of analytic tools at Fair Isaac Company where he was responsible for all product management activities for its analytic product lines. Macdonald devoted the earlier part of his career to market research in such positions as director of international operations at META Group (acquired by Gartner Inc.), senior research analyst at Greenwich Associates and president and research director of World Research Advisory.
