Responsibilities:
Design simple and innovative solutions to complex user interface problems using best practices and established web conventions for usability.
Create prototypes for usability testing and feedback, as well as pixel-specific mockups for the final products (website designs and email designs)
Assess the usability of new and existing products and recommend UI solutions
Work closely with Product Managers, UI Developers, Software Engineers and other teams to ensure the successful launch of new Covario products
Accomplished information architect and design strategist with broad industry experience, e.g., entertainment, travel, retail, social networking, search, CMS, financial and enterprise software
Background in cross-functional collaboration with product managers, marketing, creative and engineering.
Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into elegant, usable solutions.
Can cut through the clutter to see the true potential in a particular product and ultimately, the business value for clients.
Understand the principles behind user behavior and how they are architected to drive the data flow of the system.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of UI design experience in the Internet industry
Solid understanding of core design principles, typography, color and page layout
Expertise with Photoshop & Illustrator and ability to output clean/understandable files for UI Developers
Experience with HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Visio (or other IA mapping tool), Flash, JavaScript, and DHTML a plus
Self-starter with ability to work independently or with minimal direction
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
