Covario, Inc provides a web-based software as a service (SaaS) Interactive Marketing Analytics solution that provides visibility into true costs and performance to drive smarter decisions and profitability in the areas of paid search advertising, organic search engine optimization, qualitative/quantitative ROI analysis and online cooperative advertising management. It is a fast growing San Diego company and backed by venture capital, servicing well known Fortune 500 clients.
The Operations Engineer will be primarily responsible for the identification, diagnostics, and resolution of technical problems associated with the daily operations of our hosted software service. The ideal candidate will be expected to be self-sufficient and capable of driving towards problem resolution with a minimum of direct management.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting activities associated with data mining and loading.
- Troubleshooting tool/process failures.
- Software updates deployments.
- Technical project coordination.
- Technical Support (tier-2) duties.
- Designing tool & process improvements.
- Coordination with development on tool/process improvements.
- Data loading activities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working experience with SQL.
- Working experience with Linux/Unix.
- Working experience with Windows Server.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Tomcat.
- Knowledge of Linux system administration (e.g., backup procedures, updates, troubleshooting)
- Project management experience, classes, or certifications.
- Familiarity with JAVA, or PERL a plus.
- Familiarity with online advertising or Web Analytic data.
